Receipts before rankings
The Desk is built to answer three questions: what changed, who reported it, and where is the receipt? A number without those boundaries does not enter the ledger.
Network observation
Fetched from a public Bitcoin data endpoint, cached briefly, timestamped at display, and allowed to fail visibly.
Issuer disclosure
Taken from a filing, audited report, or direct company document. It is historical as of the stated effective date.
Gazette calculation
Derived from published inputs with the formula and limitation beside the result. It never becomes a new primary fact.

The exact claim, effective date, source locator, authority, and limitation are checked.

Observation
An approved metric is appended; a correction supersedes the old row instead of rewriting history.

The ledger now separates bitcoin acquired from the equity issued to fund it, and retains the share-count receipt beside the holding.
