The eCash project’s Alpha chain diverged from Bitcoin at block 963,648 and had produced 26,310 additional blocks by 19:38 UTC Sunday after starting at difficulty 1, according to the project’s live explorer. The rollout remains a practice phase for a separate Drivechain network: the project plans permanent ECX for block approximately 973,728 around October 31, while the fork does not change Bitcoin’s chain or BTC balances.
