Mining has a second page, Public miners. It prints what listed bitcoin miners state in their SEC reports, per calendar quarter and in bitcoin only: bitcoin mined, bitcoin sold and bitcoin held at the quarter's end, with every other quantity a report gives in units (purchased, pledged or posted, lent, a joint venture's share and other movements). The roster is the companies that file their quarterly reports on the forms United States companies use and state at least 100 bitcoin mined for their own account in a quarter: MARA, Riot Platforms, CleanSpark, Core Scientific, Cipher Digital, TeraWulf, American Bitcoin, IREN, Keel Infrastructure (formerly Bitfarms) and HIVE, with Hut 8, which consolidates American Bitcoin, carried beside it and shown with American Bitcoin taken out, so that no bitcoin is counted twice. Bitdeer, Canaan, BitFuFu and Cango report on the forms foreign issuers use and are named as not read yet. The window is six calendar quarters, 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2026, with the bitcoin held on 31 December 2024 as the opening balance; the selling of 2022 lies outside it. Each figure is read from the filing itself by one reader and read again by a second, who is shown the place and not the number; a script compares the two and a person settles every difference. Nothing is computed from money, no sale is inferred from a change in holdings, and nothing is taken from a tracker or from a press release outside EDGAR. A quantity a filing does not state in units is shown as not stated: unknown, not zero, and it draws no bar. A company on the roster whose reading is not settled is listed as not read and has no rows, and the page says how many are read. Mined minus sold is the desk's arithmetic on two filed numbers and can be negative; it is not coins retained. The page also runs each filing's own roll-forward in units and says where it closes to the coin, where it leaves bitcoin the stated units do not explain, and where it cannot be run. These are the statements of the registrants named, not of public miners as a whole. Each of these companies' rows in the treasury ledger now links to the page, and where the two carry one company at one date the page sets the two held figures side by side. With this page, eight Data Desk pages end with Reproduce this page. The dataset holds no amount of money: its numbers are bitcoin quantities, set beside dates, form types, accession numbers and the desk's notes in words. It is a dated snapshot, read by hand until the daily job reads it, and is offered on Downloads as JSON and CSV. No published figure changed. Public miners method 1.0.0.
