Hashprice

Expected miner revenue per unit of hashing, typically dollars per petahash per second per day; a model, not a payout.

Definition dated

also USD/PH/s/day

Hashprice compresses several inputs into one figure: block subsidy, transaction fees, bitcoin price and network hashrate. Its units and its model matter. A subsidy-only version at the target block interval, a fee-inclusive version, and a difficulty-based expectation can differ by more than a percent on the same day.

None is realised revenue. Realised revenue requires actual credited bitcoin, a matched operating interval and measured miner hashrate. The Gazette's desk shows the three models side by side and refuses to multiply one window's block rate by another window's hashrate.

Treat any single hashprice figure as a definition first and a number second.
