Every correction is recorded with its date, what was said, what the record shows and how the error happened, and it is never removed. The kind tells the reader how serious it was. A factual error means a stated fact was wrong; an imprecision means the fact was right but the wording overstated it; missing context means a true statement left out something that changed its meaning; attribution means the wrong source was credited; a retraction withdraws a piece.
The log has permanent anchors and an RSS feed. Publishing mistakes is what makes the rest of the paper's claims worth trusting.
